In comments at a ceremony held on Saturday in commemoration of the late deputy commander of the IRGC Quds Force, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh reminded the global arrogance and the Zionist regime that their successive defeats are not confined to the Palestinian occupied territories, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Iraq or Yemen.
“They must pack up and leave” the region, the commander warned the US and Israel.
Highlighting the Palestinian resistance’s victory over the Zionist regime in the recent 12-day war, he said Palestine’s ardent resistance was a testimony of power.
“The capability of resistance should be heard from the enemies. We heard what the American CENTCOM commander said. They admitted that Iran has overpowered them with air superiority, and even military superiority,” General Hajizadeh stated.
He went on to say that the downfall of the Zionist regime will result in the dissolution of the US, stressing that big victories and success for the resistance still lie ahead.
The Israeli aggression on Gaza, which began on May 10, killed at least 243 Palestinians and wounded more than 1,900 others. The aggression had started after weeks of Israeli harassment of Palestinians in Jerusalem al-Quds and attempts to steal Palestinian lands in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of the city.
The Zionist regime announced a unilateral ceasefire on May 21, which was accepted by the Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza with Egyptian mediation.
